Alone Again

All of my visitors have left.

Marty...
was pushed out of my moving car at the National Airport earlier this afternoon. He had been here since Wednesday. He was very useful, helping me locate an acceptable hair cutter in the DC area. His assistance has made me think that perhaps I need a personal assistant. He also interviewed with my bosses, and may become a FERCer. MK and I went to Baltimore yesterday to visit Josh, Emily and Myles. For some reason I have no pictures of MK's visit... I guess we were too busy.

Keri...
was dropped off at National Airport early on Wednesday, before Marty arrived. She was visiting her sister in NY and planned a trip to DC and Charlottesville to do some work on a documentary on radio astronomy she is writing/directing. On Monday we went to some monuments and saw the Mars IMAX movie, and met up with lots of you at News Cafe. On Tuesday I went with her to Charlottesville where she did some research at UVA. First we looked through the John Kraus archive at the National Ratio Astronomy Observatory. Then we went to a film studio and looked at footage of radio telescopes. Kind of a long day, but interesting. I have a single picture of Keri's visit, as we were also busy.

Elaina...
was in DC this weekend and her friends met Kai, Craig and me out last Friday for her birthday. We were at a karaoke bar in Adams Morgan, the name of which I can't remember. Just south a block or so from the falafel/fry place. There are some pictures of that event. I sang karaoke for the first and maybe last time. Father Figure, in case you were curious.

A lot of you have heard me talking about my new sport coat. I finally got it back from being altered. It is fabulous. (pic and pic... it looks black in these photos, but it is navy... sorry, I don't have any photo software at the moment to fix that with...) I can't wait for an occasion to wear this thing.
